ARTICLE 1. BOOKING
- Booking a treasure hunt or expanding a team can only be done online via Adventure Dog’s website at www.adventuredog.nl.
- Payments take place during the booking process on the website and are possible using the usual methods via Stripe.
- Each booking consists of a team leader and 1 to 5 other team members. If there are more than 6 participants in total, the participants should be divided into different groups. A separate booking must be made for each of the groups, each with its own team leader. The person making the bookings does not have to be a team leader or participant himself (e.g. one person can, as organiser of an outing, make several bookings for different groups).
- Besides making new bookings, it is also possible to buy additional team members for an existing booking. The maximum total group size (original booking and addition) is still 6 people. Adding additional team members, like the original booking, can only be done online via the Adventure Dog website at www.adventuredog.nl using the order number of the original booking as reference.
- After making a booking, a confirmation email will be sent. Please note that the confirmation e-mail might have ended up in the spam folder. If you have not received the email, please contact us at contact@adventuredog.nl or send a WhatsApp message to +31 (0)6 28 36 05 22. We will then do our utmost to solve the problem as soon as possible.
- If phone numbers need to be changed after booking, this can only be done by contacting contact@adventuredog.nl or sending a Whatsapp message to +31 (0)6 28 36 05 22. This should be done no later than 24 hours before the start of the treasure hunt.
- If there are a significant number of groups (e.g. for a company outing), it is possible to deviate from booking individual groups via the website. To do so, please contact us at contact@adventuredog.nl or via a Whatsapp message to +31 (0)6 28 36 05 22.
ARTICLE 2. CANCELLING (by participants)
- Cancelling a booking can only be done via an email to contact@adventuredog.nl. Cancellations are allowed until you have actually started the treasure hunt.
- In exceptional cases, such as a WhatsApp malfunction, it is also possible to cancel the treasure hunt after the start with a full refund.
- In case of cancellation, the amount will be refunded within 14 days to the bank account/source used when booking.
ARTICLE 3. CANCELLATION (by Adventure Dog)
- Adventure Dog has the possibility to cancel or modify a booking at any time. Cancellation on the part of Adventure Dog will only happen in exceptional circumstances and only in case of force majeure.
- In case of cancellation due to force majeure, participants will receive a refund within 14 days or can request Adventure Dog to change the reservation to another date.
- Force majeure includes: a natural disaster, government measures, pandemics, strikes, work stoppages, availability of one or more staff members, unforeseen transport problems, unforeseen electricity, internet, computer and telecommunication failures, unexpected closure of one of the participating locations preventing the treasure hunt from taking place.
ARTICLE 4. PARTICIPANTS
- Participants must be in possession of a smartphone equipped with WhatsApp. Participants are responsible for ensuring they have sufficient battery charge to complete the treasure hunt.
- Participation is also suitable for pregnant women and people aged 65+. We do not ask in any way to perform risky or dangerous manoeuvres. Participation remains at your own risk at all times.
- The treasure hunt can also be completed without problems by people in wheelchairs, with walkers, or groups with a pram or buggy as long as they are able to cover the distance of about 3.5 kilometres and there is at least one person in the group who can go up and down a few steps at certain locations if necessary. At the start of the treasure hunt, it can be indicated whether any of the above situations apply after which an accessible route will automatically be used during the treasure hunt.
- The treasure hunt is also accessible to people with dogs as long as there is at least one person in the group who can enter certain locations without a dog. At the start of the treasure hunt, it can be indicated whether dogs are present in the group after which information will be provided at relevant times during the treasure hunt if the dog cannot enter at a certain location.
- The treasure hunt is not specially made for children under 16. If you want to participate in our treasure hunt with a child under 16, this is at your own responsibility and should always take place under the supervision of at least one adult.
- The treasure hunt is very suitable for a company outing. On special request we can provide an invoice, but no VAT will be mentioned on it. This is due to the fact that Adventure Dog participates in the kleineondernemersregeling (KOR).
- By making a booking for a treasure hunt at Adventure Dog, all participants agree to receive WhatsApp messages from Adventure Dog on their phones as this is a fundamental part of the experience. In addition, they agree that user statistics will be tracked that will enable Adventure Dog to further improve the treasure hunt for future participants.
ARTICLE 5. GENERAL RULES & ALCOHOL/DRUGS
- Adventure Dog will in no way ask participants to perform risky or dangerous manoeuvres. But of course the participants may also be expected to comply with generally applicable rules. Think for example of rules concerning traffic, alcohol, drugs and behaviour. It is the responsibility of participants to familiarise themselves with these rules.
ARTICLE 6. CONFIDENTIALITY
- Adventure Dog has put a lot of time and effort into developing the treasure hunt. We hope to give participants an enjoyable time. To give others this experience too, we ask participants (e.g. in reviews) not to reveal the secrets unravelled during the treasure hunt or other notable things.
- It is not possible to post reviews directly on the website. Any reviews given will be assessed by Adventure Dog (among other things in the light of confidentiality) and potentially posted on the website with or without changes.
